Plane Prep Skincare Routine

Thailand Edition

I truly put all my skincare knowledge to the test preparing for my flight to Thailand (18 hours + 10 min). I wanted to ensure I landed with dewy hydrated skin and didn’t reverse all the hard work I’ve put into my skin over the last couple of years. The trick is layering your favorite hydrating products (from thinnest to thickest) so we’re creating a long lasting hydrating barrier that not plane can destroy.

Here’s the routine I did.

1. Cleanser (Rhode Pineapple Enzyme Cleanser (Find Here)

As someone with dry skin, the Rhode Pineapple Enzyme Cleanser is my try, true, and tested. With light exfoliants in the pineapple enzymes to remove any dead skin cells blocking my glow, it’s super hydrating and is the perfect cleanser to introduce hydration when preparing for a long haul flight.

2. SkinCeuticals P-Tiox Serum (Find Here)

When it comes to hydration, dew, glow, and guaranteed performance, SkinCeuticals is my go to brand; Their P-TIOX serum is one of the best examples of that. Ever since I’ve introduced this product into my skincare routine, I’ve noticed a visible upgrade in the glow to my skin and overall radiance. She obviously had to be apart of my longest plane prep routine!

3. Dr. Sebagh Repair Serum (Find Here)

Sticking to hydration, Dr. Sebagh’s is another favorite. Slightly thicker than the SkinCeuticals P-Tiox, it compliments the routine perfectly, adding a thicker later of hydration to my skin and creates this bouncy supple finish that is so slay. (Dr. Sebagh’s prodcust are also great for men; All the men in my family constantly borrow this serum).

4. Facile Dew You (Find Here)

Some may think 3 hydrating serums is overboard, but those same people have never been on an 18 hour flight because finishing off my serum cocktail with Facile was essential. The thickest of the serums mentioned, it just gave my skin that final glass of water it needed to get through the final 4 hours of that flight.

5. Violette FR Boum Boum Milk (Find Here)

Perfect for any discoloration (I have slight hyperpigmentation on my chin) I used this to target my darks spots and of course, add another later of hydration to the routine.

6. Rhode Glazing Milk (Find Here)

I call this product, the key to the glow because it does exactly that. With hydrating ingrediants in it as well, its visibly radiant finish takes my finalized skincare routine to that next level that I love so much. You will never see me not wearing Rhode’s Glazing Milk.

7. Ilia Bright Start Activating Eye Cream (Find Here)

I’m not loyal to eye creams, but the 18 hour time stamp on this flight made me feel like I needed to bring out all the stops; If I am going to use an eye cream, I love this one. While I know the formula itself is slay because ILIA would never do anything less, it’s more so the smooth cooling tip that makes this product a go to for me. Specifically when flying, it keeps my under eyes hydrated and a great product to bring on flight to wake up the face when you’re preparing for landing.

8. Dieux Instant Angel Lipid Rich Moisturizer (Find Here)

It was a strong tie between this moisturizer and the Rhode Barrier Butter, but I’ve been loving the Dieux Lipid Rich Moisturizer when we need to get a job done. It truly seals in all the serums and skincare goodness I did before, is rich yet not sticky and gives my skin the perfect finishing feeling I love. I also find achieving a glowy not sticky balance hard to achieve but Dieux understand the assignment!

9. SkinCeuticals SPF 50 (Find Here)

As mentioned in my video, I’m not too sure what I’m protecting being that I flew overnight and sat in the middle row away from the windows, but I do know SPF is always a yes and I love the light weight feel of the SkinCeuticals one.

10. ILIA Lip Wrap (Find Here)

No skincare routine is complete without a lippy, and I’ve been actively reaching for my ILIA Lip Wrap. It’s super hydrating, long lasting, and gives my lips this subtle but present gloss that I love. Please note, this is 1/10 lippys that came with me on my flight and were in my purse to access at all times.

While flying to reintroduce moisture, I wore my hydrating eye masks and spritzed my face every few hours with Caudalie Beauty Elixr.

I can confirm this routine did in fact achieve my goal of long lasting hydrating skin on my longest flight ever and I am proud.

Talk soon! xoxo
